A. "There are many things that make it difficult for a person in a wheel­chair to shop. The first is the difficulty of getting there because pavements are so difficult to get up and down. If you get there, shops may have a step at the door or are too small for a wheelchair to get around. In some depart­ment stores there is no step and lots of room, but you can't get through the checkout."
